This course meets the requirements established by the Occupational Safety and health Administration (OSHA) for Class I and Class II Competent Person; the Environmental protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) and the Asbestos School Hazard Abatement Reauthorization Act (ASHARA) for both Public & Private School Facilities (K-12); the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for Commercial & Public Facilities.  In addition, this course meets the requirements established by the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR).

Contractor/Supervisor refresher certification is completed in a one day (8 hours) course, which meets AHERA, ASHARA requirements for recertification, as well as ADEQ, IDPH, IDEM and MDNR requirements.  An annual refresher certification course is required in order to maintain accreditation and state licensing.

 

 Asbestos Worker Initial (Spanish) …………………………*$290/$300

The Worker is a 4-day course with 2-days of hands on training to help reinforce classroom training and to introduce real world workplace situations.  It is required for individuals who will be conducting activities involving the removal, repair or maintenance of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) that may be located in Public & Private School Facilities (K-12) and for Commercial & Public Facilities.

This course meets the requirements established by the Environmental protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos hazard Emer
gency Response Act (AHERA) and the Asbestos School Hazard Abatement Reauthorization Act (ASHARA) for both Public & Private School Facilities (K-12); the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for Commercial & Public Facilities.  In 
 addition, this course meets the requirements established by the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR).

  • Worker Initial offered in Spanish only – this is only course that the states allow to be taught in other languages. 
  • To be an accredited supervisor, states require the 40-hour supervisor initial be taken and those with worker initial would have to take supervisor initial to upgrade their license.

The Building Inspector 3-day course is required for individuals who will be identifying, evaluating and recommending corrective actions for Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) that may be located in Public & Private School Facilities (K-12).  In addition, this course is required at a minimum for individuals who will be performing Asbestos Inspections in Commercial & Public Facilities prior to any planned Renovation & Demolition activities.

This course meets the requirements established by the Environmental protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) and the Asbestos School Hazard Abatement Reauthorization Act (ASHARA) for both Public & Private School Facilities (K-12); the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for Commercial & Public Facilities.  In addition, this course meets the requirements established by the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR).
